Ingredients

Our diapers are made of chlorine free wood pulp fluff, sodium polyacrylate (also referred to as SAP or absorbent gel), polyolefin nonwoven fabric, adhesives, polyolefin film, synthetic rubber elastic strands.

Composition:

The color of disposable diapers is typically achieved through the addition of color pigments to their inner and outer cover materials. This is also true for Seventh Generation diapers. While most designs on the market use pigments that result in a white color, we use a small amount of blended color pigments to impart a tan color to our diapers. The blend is proprietary to the supplier of the pigment. To the best of our knowledge, there are no known toxicity issues associated with the use of these pigments in our diapers. Without the addition of color pigments, these materials would be colorless, much like a plastic milk jug. We use brown pigments to help distinguish Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Diapers from others in the marketplace that are bleached with chlorine-containing substances.

All disposable diapers, including Seventh Generation’s, rely on man-made materials to deliver the high-level performance that parents expect of modern diapers. These materials are mostly petroleum-derived and are not renewable, which adversely impacts the environmental footprint associated with these products. At Seventh Generation, we are pleased to offer an alternative that is not bleached with chemicals containing chlorine, and are working hard to further improve the sustainability of our diaper products.

About Chlorine
The wood pulp used in our diapers has not been processed with chemicals containing chlorine. This prevents dangerous chlorinated toxins from being released into the environment through the pulp production process.

Reviews:

I have been using these diapers since my now two year old was a few months old. We also use them for my new 4 month old. We have always liked the way these diapers look, absorb & contain, and (don't) smell. However, I am terribly disappointed that they have printed a strip of images on the front panel. Part of what drew us to this product was the lack of characters printed on them, and of course the lack of extra dyes added to put them there. I also don't appreciate my child being used as a marketing tool, and I will probably change our diaper choice if it continues.

We have two boys who both started out in G-Diapers but once they out grew the infant g's we decided to switch to 7th Generation. They have worked out so well, they last through the night with our 23 month old,and up to 7 hours during the day. They also give us (the parents) a piece of mind knowing that we aren't putting the worst products into landfills.

Not for us. I like many Seventh Gen products but these did not end up working for us. We tried them with our both our babies right after birth since they had very sensitive skin and always got a rash no matter what we did. These did irritate the rash less but we had many blowouts. They seem to absorb urine fairly well but for little babies with wet poo it doesn't soak it up nor keep it in the diaper. After many tries and making sure we put them on right and double checking everything we just said "no". We will not change babies clothes and ours every time they poo. At that point it would have been easier to keep up laundry with cloth diapers. Plus it is VERY EXPENSIVE for the small amount you get.

I have an 18 month old baby with special needs. He is still in diapers and not even close to potty training (he can not walk). We were having trouble with him urinating through his premium diapers and thouht we needed to try something new. I found the 7th gen diapers on clearance and bought three bags to "try". These help more urine than any other diaper we have tried. They do not leak and are esspecailly perfect for night time use. We compared the cost of the diapers to the other brand we usual use and they were a dollar more per bag and we went throuhg less of them in a day. The price equalled out and I did less" peed through" laundry.
Thank you, The Snyder's

The only diapers my 7 month old has ever worn are "G Diapers" and "Seventh Generation". I love seventh generations diapers and wipes, they are so sensitive on my babies skin and she thanks seventh generation for her soft, diaper-rash free tush!
