Did You Know?

Our most absorbent diapers are made with sustainably harvested wood pulp.

Ingredients: Chlorine free wood pulp, mixture of plant-derived polysaccharide and sodium polyacrylate (absorbent pad), polylactide* (dryness layer), polypropylene and polyethylene (core wrap, liner layer, outer layer, cuff moisture barrier layer, fastening system), adhesives (seams and joints), polyisoprene elastomeric, polymer spandex and polyurethane (fastening system and leg/waist elastic), pigments**.

*Our absorbent core contains wood pulp, corn- and wheat- derived materials to reduce the use of non-renewable petrochemicals.

**The color of disposable diapers is typically achieved through the addition of pigments. This is also true for the brown layered materials in Seventh Generation Diapers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I highly recommend Seventh Generation Overnight Diapers and I feel compelled to write a review because prior to purchasing them I found so many negative reviews. It is important to check the date on reviews and know if the product has been improved or replaced since the old review, so shoppers, keep that in mind. My 16 month old is cloth diapered, however we have never been able to find a cloth overnight solution that didn’t leak or keep her dry enough to sleep well so we use disposables at night. As a cloth diaper family it is important to us that we choose a non-toxic and environmentally friendlier disposable diaper. We first used Bambo Nature diapers, which we loved. The only problem is they are only available online or at a cloth diaper store which has limited hours and is far away. This led us to try The Honest Company Overnight Diapers, which we found to have a poor fit that led to leads, and we are not overly thrilled or comfortable with that brand. Next we tried regular Seventh Generation Free & Clear in size 4, which we used overnight and in place of our cloth diapers during a 1 week vacation. We were happy with these, but felt like she needed a little more leak protection at night as the diapers only seem to have absorbency on the front half of the diaper. We decided to try Seventh Generation Overnights in size 5. The diapers are noticeably thicker and larger than the size 4 regular Seventh Generation diapers, which I would expect. They perform incredibly well overnight on our heavy wetter who is bottle nursed before bed, and sometimes throughout the night. The fit is great (no sagging even though she’s on the light end of the size 5 weight spectrum) and the material is very soft. Lastly, when we first used these I thought that they also had absorbency only on the front half of the diaper because that was where my daughter had wet the diaper overnight 11 hours. However, after an experiment with that same diaper, I was able to pour an additional 10oz of water throughout the entire diaper. I probably could have even poured more. If you are in need of an overnight diaper, give these a try! My only wish is that there were available at more retailers (like Target!) Currently, I am only able to get them at our local Fresh Thyme Market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yay No allergic reactions "I received a free product for the purpose of my review. Opinions are 100% my own." Both of granddaughters suffer from allergic reactions to chemicals and dyes, but no more 7th generation has came to our aid. Now we can have diapers and wipes that cause no rashes. We were having to make homemade diaper wipes, but thank goodness that is over. Thanks for the sample, already got more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs too small I was so excited to see that 7G made overnights but they run smaller than their regular diapers. Unfortunately, my LO is already a size 6 so I cant buy a bigger size. we hold it up with some PJ pants and they work well but wont be buying another pack. if he was smaller/younger I would just buy a bigger size, I do think they work well just buy a bigger size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Run much smaller, Leaked after 4 hours I bought these two days ago. My daughter is right in the middle of the stage 4 size range, and wears size 4 Seventh Generation Free & Clear diapers during the day, so bought the same size in the overnight diapers. They are MUCH smaller. While the rise is similar to the regular stage 4 size, the width makes them practically more like a size 3 diaper. Worse off, the diaper leaked after 4-5 hours! With the normal diapers we were getting through most of the night until about 7-8 hours before a leak, and these leaked in nearly half that time. Moreover, the leaked overnight diaper was half the weight of a leaked regular diaper. So seemingly HALF the absorption to the regular diaper, rather than the 10+ hour leak protection advertised as the most absorbent of all the Seventh Generation diapers. Paid $12 for two failed diapers. The rest seemingly useless to me.
