Washing Dishes in Cold Water?

I've made the switch to washing my clothes in cold water. My husband wants to wash dishes in cold water too, but I'm skeptical about this. Please advise. Thanks!

Are you handwashing? Because if your trying to save water and energy you should be using your dishwasher (filled full of course). Most dishwashers only use around 3-6 gallons of water, thats just one small sink full of water. Also hot water does help kill germs and since you eat off your dishes, the least germs the better, I hope this helps :)
