We recently purchased the baby detergent without noticing that it does not have the HE stamp. Our washer recommends using only HE detergents.
Can we still use it? Should we get a different one? If we can still use it, should we reduce the quantity?
Thank you!

Baby HE
Thanks for the inquiry about the Baby HE as I imagine more than one person is wondering about this.
I am writing from the Consumer Insights Department at 7th Generation and I wanted to help clarify this situation.
Our Baby detergent was originally rated for HE machines, through our own testing and from consumer feedback we found that this had the ability to oversuds and create quite a mess for some people. We decided to remove the HE designation until we could ensure that this would not happen.
No changes have been made to the Baby detergent, the only change was to remove the HE from the label. So while it is not currently recommended in HE machines we have heard from people that have not stopped using it in their HE machines even though we removed the label for it.
For an alternative to the Baby detergent our Free&Clear works great. The difference is that the Baby detergent actually has a little more cleaning power to help attack all the stains and soils that come along with babies. They are both equally as gentle on skin and the Free & Clear is HE compatible.
I hope this can help get the right detergent in your machine.
Just use a tsp
