Caring a Whole Awful Lot

What do Seventh Generation, The Philadelphia Zoo, and ten budding scientists from a Burlington elementary school have in common?

They all care a whole awful lot about the fate of the Sumatran Orangutan. Watch our video to see what the Green Ambassadors are learning about responsible palm oil harvesting and discover how you can help too.

The purpose of Seventh Generation's Green Ambassador program is for students to extend their learning about how all living things are connected.
At the Philadelphia Zoo, students have been learning about the impact of rapidly expanding unsustainable palm oil plantations on the orangutan. After meeting the orangutans and spending the night in the Zoo's magical treehouse, the students have been shown how this great ape is on the brink of extinction and how forest conservation is critical to saving the orangutan. It is our hope that the students will become agents of change, educating their fellow students, parents and community about the importance of sustainable palm oil.

Join the Philadelphia Zoo's Unless Campaign

A leader in public education and conservation, the Philadelphia Zoo has embarked on a five-year Dr. Seuss-inspired "Unless" Campaign, supporting use of sustainable palm oil as a means of protecting the endangered orangutan. "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."

RSPO Certified Bar Soap

Choose RSPO Certified products

In 2012, we took a step forward in our commitment and introduced the first line of Bar Soap bearing the RSPO Certified Sustainable Palm Oil seal and formulated with segregated certified sustainable palm oil, which verifies that valuable tropical forests were not cleared, and social and environmental safeguards were met during the oil's harvest and production.
