One of our competitors (Ecos/Earth Friendly) claims to have a cellulose-based optical brightener. I have not been able to identify a cellulose-based optical brightener in the the chemical literature, nor have i been able to identify such an ingredient from any major ingredient supplier. Therefore I cannot comment on its environmental or human health characteristics.
