We have dark colored granite countertops. The people at the granite yard told us to use 409 to clean them. Number one: 409 is disgusting and smells awful and number two: it left film and streaks on our counters so they looked awful. I've been searching for a safe and effective cleaner for everyday use. Some people say don't use any vinegar at all, some say a vinegar mix is safe. I was a little nervous about using vinegar because well, granite isn't free and I didn't want to ruin it. And then I decided to try Seventh Generation Multi-Surface Cleaner. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! I'm not crazy about the lemongrass and thyme scent, but I know it's safe, and it doesn't leave streaks like everything else.
