John Steinbeck opined that, “it is the nature of man to rise to greatness if greatness is expected of him.” If we are to achieve the great changes that are necessary to protect our planet home, we must set bold challenges for ourselves. We did this in 2009 when we established a set of forward-looking sustainability goals to drive our innovation work and guide our broader sustainability initiatives. These goals translate our vision into achievable tasks and help motivate our work. We streamlined these goals slightly in 2010 and report our progress here. We cover additional performance indicators throughout the report.
