if you walk to the mailbox, the nearest store, or the bus stop... not only do you use less foreign petroleum...from people who don't exactly love us... but you also are less stressed, and get some well deserved exersize! besides...walking is FREE! and we ALL need some of THAT!

Napkins
i am the representative of the Club 4 Social Action on our Clark College campus! we do many things to help others, and to inform students, staff, and faculty about the need to reduce waste and eliminate plastics when possible. we won a pizza party for doing the most service on campus of all clubs this past Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day! so, on Arbor Day, we will give free pizza to all students on campus and show the documentary "King Corn"...to enlighten them of the farming issues. we need napkins for the 100+ movie-going pizza-eaters, and i chose seventh generation napkins! our current issue: to get the cafeteria to switch over to TaterWare bio-compostable utensils! budgets are tight...but in the end...filling the landfills with millions of plastic spoons each year is not a good legacy for Clark College. learning right now to conserve and preserve is a better lesson.
