Dear Seventh Generation Nation: I am a born-again Christian, since 1-28-86 (the day the first space shuttle exploded), and first got into nutrition and environmental issues after I became a vegetarian in January 1984. I have grown in my knowledge since then. Though I am no longer a vegetarian as of about maybe 4 - 5 years ago, I still care alot for animals and try to avoid using any animal products other than in my food or some of the supplements I take. As a Christian, it is a mandate of God in His Word (The Holy Bible) to be a good steward of all His gifts, which includes all of His physical creation, so, therefore, that is what I strive to do for God. I attend a very large Southern Baptist church in my area and just started this semester to attend Dallas Baptist University to earn a degree in Art. I have found interest to try my best to only purchase and use environmentally safe art products as well. The other day, I saw some at the crafts store Michael's that included a good form of acrylics and was all environmentally friendly (this company [I do not remember the name] had some other products as well). So, any artists interested in going this direction should look into these sort of products. Last April, I did volunteer for my city's "Live Green Expo" through an organization I was a part of at that time. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to attend this next year's event as well, if I have time with all my school work. I also recycle my food containers and other trash as much as possible. Hope everyone has a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ! Sincerely, in Christ Jesus' Love, K. Shaw
