I am a librarian at a large library on Long Island. I am implementing "green" programs into the library's already impressive list of lectures and workshops. I am saddened that people still do not believe in the idea of conservation and "green" living; you do not have to change your entire lifestyle, small steps make a big difference! As a vegetarian I take my health quite seriously and have most recently began adding organic products into my menu. Price is of course the biggest issue for me when shopping, so I try to purchase mostly organic dairy products as the idea of extra hormones is truly disgusting. I have also recently purchased a food processor, so nut butters, here I come!!! I want the world to be a better place, for all living beings. I don't think that that is too much to ask for, and I doing my small part every day to ensure that it can be!
