baking soda and vinegar, followed by boiling water is the best way to clean stainless steel or glass beverage bottles. baking soda and a bit of liquid soap is the best for stainless steel, pots and ceramic.

I am a marine tradeswoman and a sunday painter. I live very simply. I have rain barrels for my vegetable garden, have been composting for 20 years, never had a clothes dryer, always bring bags to shop, etc. I miss my Geo Metro which I drove for 14 years. Its 1 liter,3 cylinder motor got 50 mpg! Ah well. Now I drive an Echo which gets only 40. I always vote. I am very worried about our enviornment. We should be in emergency mode right now. Oh, I also made window quilts for all of my windows- roman shade design with magnets inside the edges. They really help here in Maine.
