The biggest environmental impact we have (other than having children) is diet. Go vegetarian; better yet vegan. I have a difficult time understanding someone who says they are an environmentalist, and/or for social justice, when they eat meat and dairy. There is a tremendous conflict there; I've yet to hear an argument that resolves it.
