University of Colorado Boulder Students put 4X Laundry Detergent to the Test

We took our 4x Liquid Laundry Detergent on the road and had college students from University of Colorado Boulder put it to the test. We had them make some seriously ucky, gucky stains -- Ben & Jerry’s chocolate ice cream, cranberry juice, tomato sauce -- and do a full load, Seventh Generation style.

This little powerhouse-in-a-cardboard-bottle got an A+ and proved to be a well-rounded hit with the students. They liked the smell, and were surprised & delighted when their clothes came out sparkling white.

they washed right away. i am the cleaner in my house and i will find things on clothes after the were put on the bottom of the bin and sitting there for a few days. those things may stain if left on...but i want a real test. curry, ancho pepper sauce, blood, coffee, mud, red wine...maybe it is my house...but those are the things i deal with as the washer of my partner's and my clothes. even oil on a white shirt. those things sitting on clothes are the hardest things to get out. maybe i ask for the impossible. but once a soap can take care of that...i will be one happy washer.

Used it since it hit the shelves in Wholefoods. I buy it at the beginning of the month and it last all month long on a family of three doing three loads a day average. Also great for sensative skin. Never take it from the shelf. (Until last month I had to drive 15 miles every month to get it. That is loyalty.)

If college kids can get their underwear white and bright with this product, then a gramma can too! I will try it and probably keep on buying it! Thanks fo the nice demonstration. I enjoyed seeing the kids happy at doing mundane things. Great!

I am trying to start a gray water system, and starting with what is used for soap is the best way to start. Thank you for making products that are environmentally safe. I was Very moved and awed at where the name of this company derived from!

WOW! This product looks great! I love the cardboard container and the fact that it saves on plastic and the horrors that come with disposing of it. I also have small children in my family that get all these types of stains and now there is a product that will actually remove them. I can't wait to get my hands on this. You should stock this in all stores, especially Wal-Mart. They could use some good green products.

Have used the laundry soap for years but since welcoming out grandson into our lives 16 months ago, have switched almost entirely to all 7th Gen products, still purchase Mrs. Meyers occasionally.....good for environment and our/his future!!!

I wish this would get rid of allergens in my laundry, then it would be perfect for me. I have to use a special laundry detergent, which I have to buy online (and it is really expensive). Though it is an environmentally friendly detergent and the bottle is HDPE (though it doesn't say if contains any PCR content), instead of a truckload being delivered to one location at once, it is delivered to my door a few bottles at a time (not very green). It denaturalizes and removes dust mite allergen (along with several other allergens, soap residue left behind by inferior detergents, dirt and odors), in COLD water, so for my allergies it can't be beat. For my wallet it certainly can be beat. For the enviornment, I'm guessing this is still a lot better than most supermarket brands, but I know I could do better.
