Seventh Generation is humbled to be named a 2011 Leader for Change by the United Nations and the Foundation for Social Change. The award was accepted by our CEO, John Replogle, at a special presentation at the U.N. Global Conference for Social Change in New York City.

"Seventh Generation has received an incredible number of honors in our 23-year history, but I'm not sure that we've ever received one as meaningful as this," said John. "It's a tremendous acknowledgement of the progress we've been making to pursue our company's purpose to have an impact beyond profit."

Taking the next step...

My goal this year is to switch over all my cleaning products to a more natural, less harsh kind. Over the years I have always wondered the effects of these harsh chemicals on my body. Well it's time to stop worrying and time to make the change. Looking forward to trying out this new seventh generation brand!

Cleaning Products

We use as many natural cleaning products throughout our house as possible, sticking mostly to Seventh Generation products and homemade cleaning products using lemon oil, baking soda, and vinegar.

Love your product!

Just started living more green when my daughter was born. I want her to live in a clean environment and not have to worry about her children climbing over garbage. Your all purpose spray is great, and I LOVE them smell of your bathroom cleaner, so much better than all those nasty chemicals.

using less or reusing, just like bottles from 7th gen.

My family has figured out how to make our own home made laundry and dishwasher detergent. We love to recycle & when we buy dish soap it has to be 7th Gen or any other eco brand. Have to think of anyway to help by purchasing and promoting greener products. We also refrain from using paper towels, we keep large stash of rags & cotton napkins.

Buy less

I just buy less stuff. Probably easier for me than most, as I have no excess money to be spending and thus less temptation. But I really believe if you focus on the quality rather than the quantity you generally end up happier.

Healthier Kids

I switched my cleaning products because all three of my children had severe asthma that ended them up in the emergency room frequently. I thought changing the cleaning stuff might help a little....but I am proud, and astonished to report they haven't been to the emergency room for an attack since we switched to organic cleaning, and that was 5 years ago!

Love 7th Generation!

I use Seventh Generation products in my household and try to eat organic foods. Also, I try to avoid cooking and eating with plastics. I am obsessed with plug-in air fresheners, however, I read how bad they are for your health, so I am going to replace the insides with all natural oils.

Free and Clear

We have used the he laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid since I first found it in the supermarket. Love the products and have been passing the word along to family and friends. We have been recycling for years and when the cfls were first available we switched. Being green is a way of life. We buy local produce and support our local farmers.

Recycling

I just recently became more aware of the affects of recycling and have jumped on board. I am also in the process of changing all my household products to 7th generation to make for a cleaner and healthier environment for my 4 year old and family. I have also introduced my family to these products.

Hello

Hi, this is my very first post and would first like to say how much i love 7th generation. Being a mom of two babies I use 7th generation free and clear laundry soap for their clothes and know that its safe for their delicate skin. I also started using the all purpoe cleaner, lemon and thyme and it smells wonderful and I know this is much safer for my surfaces then any other cleaner! I recycle plastic bags because I get a lot of them.

Little steps = big change

We changed all our light bulbs in our house to compact fluorescents. We do laundry 2 times a month and use cold water. We recycle every bit of paper, plastic, cardboard, metal, anything that is accepted in our region. We use power strips and unplug all unused plugs. We take shorter showers. We bike EVERYWHERE - grocery store, work, gym, etc. Not only does it help the environment but it saves on bills.

Small Changes. Big Changes. Big Thank You!

My husband and I try to make small changes in our daily life, and one of the changes is incorporating your products into our home. With no dishwasher, unless you count my husband, we go through a lot of dish soap. He really loves that the Natural Dish Liquid is free of dyes and fragrances. I love that there are rewards programs that serve to educate and make it possible to do the right thing and still stay within our budget. Thanks so much.

Pleased with Seventh Generation's Concept & Products/Congrats

I recycle and fortunately my husband is jumping on board, too! I also try to buy "green", i.e. organic, local, more nature based products, pcr packaging even if it is a few more pennies. I also do facebook posts from this site as well as others I support, i.e. how to recycle electronics and other helpful tips from environmentally responsible companies. Love your dishwashing liquid, it lasts so much longer than any other brand I have tried, and is more effective.

I love Seventh Generation.

I am going to school for a bachelors in Environmental Biology and these products make me feel better about making a statement to other manufacturers' to clean up their act because I don't want their dirty products.
I have started recycling projects at my old high school, and my last job and am now incorporating a recycling system to my new job and pushing to get more green products in our stores such as 7th generation.
I love everything about 7th Generation and continue to tell everyone about the great things this wonderful company stands for.

Thank you!

My family has used your products for a couple of years now.
For our dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent we only use Seventh Generation. I really like the idea that there's no harsh chemicals. My family is into recycling. We recycle our cans, bottles and paper products. Thank you for the great products!

Refusing single-use products

What we do: We always insist on reusing, and carry around our own portable eating utensils. I also don't bother getting coffee or water if it means I have to use one of those tiny (or big!) styrofoam cups. I usually have my thermal tea cup, anyway.

My Part / Your Part

Many years ago I began a recycling program with paper and paper products with my local Post Office. Now.. it's gone National. We are now recycling unwanted paper products and cardboard and turning it into money while maintaining a healthy environment. Yay !!

Round of Applause

With a small child in the home and becoming more aware of so many things; seventh generation was an easy switch. I find their products to work well and even better than some of the more common items in the store.

Free and Clear detergent

I work in a group of people that have allergies and we share information on products that might be good for us. I did not realize that the detergent was free and clear. I will announce that at the next group. I will be checking out the other products to see what I can suggest.

I never really been a "green"

I never really been a "green" person but with a baby on the way Im determine to leave a green clean lifestyle fo rmy little one to grow up in. Little by little im changing things in our lives, by remebering to recycle evertime, using reuseable lunch bags, and even strting to groe fresh herbs. Hopefully I'll move to vegetables one day. But 7th generation has helped alot in taking a dtep towards green living.

Laaundry detergent

I would never believe a safe detergent could do such a beautiful job. I tried 7th generations dishwasher detergent several years sgo. I was dissatisfied with the results. I also thought it too expensive. After checking on some of the ingredients and realizing they agrivated my allergies I knew I had to make some changes. I started to try safer products.

I love the laundry detergent. The clothes are clean and soft. I am trying my first bottle of dish detergent. The detergent burns on my hands are better in just a short time. I will try the dishwasher detergent again. Thanks for a wonderful product
