Creating a line of natural beauty care products seemed, well, like the most natural thing in the world for us. After all, Seventh Generation has spent nearly 25 years developing products that help protect your health and the health of the planet.
Just before the Fourth of July, while the country steeped in memories of its birth and recalled the rebels who midwifed not just a new nation but a new way of thinking about such things, one of Seventh Generation's founding fathers was singled out for his own historic efforts. And it's an honor our former longtime leader has more than earned.
Seventh Generation staffers "abandoned" the office in Burlington this past Wednesday for a day of volunteering at camp TaKumTa in South Hero. The group of 60+ volunteers tackled everything from fire pit building to painting as they helped ready the camp for its 2012 season.
Global Green honored its 2012 Millennium Award recipients this past weekend, including our own John Replogle who accepted the Corporate Environmental Leadership Award. The Millennium Awards were established in 1996 to recognize and herald those whose lives and livelihood embody Global Green USA's mission of "fostering a global value shift toward a sustainable and secure world."
While you always know when you've helped the environment, it can be hard to know just how much. But there's a ticker on our home page that spells it out in black and white. And sometime today, it's passing a real milestone: The 500,000th tree saved from the axe.
We're delighted to announce the arrival of our Baby Personal Care line!
Conceived by the parents of Seventh Generation, our six newest additions are a welcome part of our growing baby care line. They're also the first line of baby personal care products to receive the USDA Certified Biobased seal -- your assurance that our formulas are plant-based.
Our Products Are Safe
Seventh Generation does not formulate products with any of the asthma-associated or endocrine disrupting substances identified by the Silent Spring Institute in their recent study. Nor do we use ingredients that might reasonably contain trace levels of these substances.
