Ten Americans

We all know pollution and toxins are bad for you. But the Environmental Working Group has conducted perhaps the deepest analysis of this issue on the most vulnerable demographic on the planet.
Watch the first 5 minutes of Ken Cook's presentation and see if you aren't as surprised as I was. If you are, take action, and please send this video to a friend.

I first heard about the Environmental Working Group while browsing Henry's Farmers Market's website. There is a section on the site that talks about Natural Beauty and it mentioned an EWG study conducted in 2004 called Skin Deep. This opened my eyes to the dirty secrets of the cosmetic industry and the lack of safeguards against exposure to carcinogens. It sure took me a long time, but now I can say that I am now using 100% all-natural cosmetics and personal care products, and I am committed to throwing my support behind companies that care about what they put in their products.
This is only a little part of a bigger issue and more work needs to be done. I applaud the EWG for all their work. I believe that we can still make changes to protect Mother Nature and to raise future generations in a healthier environment.
