We're thrilled to announce that Seventh Generation has been named the #1 greenest brand in the U.S. by the annual ImagePower Global Green Brands Survey. We last appeared on the list in 2008 at a #7 ranking. Thank you for the support that has helped us rise to the top! We're in great company on the list:

  1. Seventh Generation
  2. Whole Foods
  3. Tom's of Maine
  4. Burt's Bees
  5. Trader Joe's
  6. The Walt Disney Company
  7. S.C. Johnson
  8. Dove
  9. Apple
  10. Starbucks, Microsoft (tied)

The ImagePower Global Green Brands Survey features 9,000 respondents in eight countries measuring perceptions and sentiments of green actions by industries, products, and brands. The survey is sponsored by WPP companies Cohn & Wolfe, Landor Associate, Penn Schoen Berland, and partner company Esty Environmental Partners.

The news was announced at the Sustainable Brands Conference this week.
UPDATE: Here's a video thank you from us!

Cool stuff

Great news for you guys and I don't doubt that you are the USA's most green brand. However, the fact that Walt Disney and S.C. Johnson - one of the biggest chemical manufacturers - are also on the top ten list makes me think the whole survey was a total sham. And the fact that it was administered by Landor, which has Disney as a client, makes me even more suspicious!!
