We know how hard it can be to find a job these days, so Seventh Generation employees are teaming up to help job seekers make sure they have great interview attire.

We've just launched our First Annual Business Dress Clothing Drive, which encourages employees to bring in gently used business attire and accessories for organizations that collect and distribute donated business attire. Our donations will go to Dress for Success, a national organization, our local Spectrum Youth and Family Services and the Champlain College Single Parent Program.

You can easily start a drive like this at your company or in your neighborhood. For more information, visit  here to find a Dress for Success affiliate in your area or to learn how you can help as a volunteer, donor, or financial supporter.

More Than A Clothes Closet

Please note that Dress For Success is more than just a clothes closet. [From dressforsuccess.org]
The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

The support network and training that help women get the interview and the job are as important as the clothes they wear to it. I urge anyone interested to contact their local chapter and get involved. This is an excellent organization, doing front line work to help women become empowered in the business and economic world.
