Need a quick side dish? Macaroni and cheese is sure to please. This recipe can be dressed up or dressed down to suit your palate and offers up a hearty serving of B vitamins, including B12.

Vegan Mac n 'Cheese

1 lb, pasta, any style
3 tbsp. non-dairy butter
1/2 tsp. sea salt
4 tbsp. non-dairy milk
1/2 cup fortified nutritional yeast

Cook any style pasta, al dente, drain, and return to pot. On low heat add butter, salt, nutritional yeast, and milk. Stir and serve hot. This dish can be topped with dill, chives, or steamed broccoli florets for added color and flavor.

I too prefer almond milk and Earth Balance for my butter option. Happy cooking.

any unsweetened non-dairy milk would work, but I personally like almond milk for cooking and baking, or soy

the best non-dairy butter is Earth Balance, it comes in stick form and tub form, either would work, and also comes in different varieties of the tub style, like olive oil, soy-free, etc.. all are great

Do you have any suggestions

Do you have any suggestions as to which non-dairy milk or non-dairy butter would work best with this? Especially the butter. I know there are many different kinds, but some are good for cooking with and some are not.

Sounds delicious though!
