First and foremost, we want to apologize for any disappointing experiences that you may have encountered on Saturday. This is not what we envisioned for our recent Lorax event. What we hoped for was an opportunity for you to pick up some coupons and samples, a fun Lorax mustache for your kids, and chance to grab a few free tickets to see the Lorax movie if you were one of the earlier ones to arrive. Thankfully this is what happened at many of the locations, but unfortunately, not at all of them. We worked with Walmart and an outside agency to bring this to 200 Walmarts. Because we are a small company of just over 100 people, we weren't able to post representatives at each event. Somewhere, between the three of us, it seems that communication broke down at a few of the locations. In some cases store employees were unaware of the event, making everything a whole lot more complicated for you. We are sorry for that. We are also aware that some customers expected more from our event. We are sorry that we didn't adequately convey its scale, and for any disappointment this may have caused. Please know that we have learned many lessons from this experience, and your feedback has been critical for that. Thank you for taking the time to let us know your experience. We would love it if you would take the time to contact our Customer Service Team so that we can hear your experience first hand, and help out in any way that we can. If you have the time, please give us a call at 1-800-456-1191, or email us at info@seventhgeneration.com.

I had called the Strongsville,OH Walmart store and they didn't have a clue about this event. We were out doing some shopping and stopped in to this store to pick up some items. They did have a Seventh Generation station setup, but the lady was not offering the movie tickets to anyone! I asked her about this event and how they were giving out tickets to the movie and she told me only if I buy their products right at her booth with no register?? What a SCAM!!! It did not say anything about purchasing something from some unauthorized person. She had a full stack of tickets and did not hand any out FYI. I would look into the people you hire and have representing your company!!

WalMart Neenah WI is the store we went to and as others have said no one knew anything about this. We drove thru some not nice snow and blow to get there which is a 90 minute drive only to be extremely disappointed. How could something so wonderful go so wrong?

Dear 7th Generation... I researched this event. My local store was 1 of only 2 in CA that were having the event. I got all 3 kids ready headed out to WalMart to find that NOBODY in WalMart, including the Managers and Customer Service people knew about it! I was initially directed to Electronics because it was a movie event. Electronics had NO IDEA... I waited there for 45 minutes while they called managers and supervisors. They couldn't figure out what was going on. They then sent me to a small round table set up in front of the TIDE PODS which had 2 bottles of 7th Generation Laundry Soap and 2 bottles of Dishwashing Liquid and some coupons on it. Hmm... Nobody around and I couldn't get anyone to help me. After an additional 35 minutes I was told that they can't find anything on their website saying they were having an event. They wanted me to take my 3 children home print out this post and take it back to them (UM... NO!) I finally got a hold of a manager that told me that the demo companies work for and advertising agency and they don't work for WalMart, therefore they don't know anything about them and they didn't want to take ANY responsibility for not knowing about the event. As I was leaving ALMOST 2 hours later.... (before I get criticized for waiting there for 2 hours with my kids... I should tell you that I really just wanted the UPPER MANAGEMENT to know about the lack of service and that's why I stuck around to talk to someone who could actually make a difference an be aware of the problem... and BTW.. she did file a complaint for me.) I was pulled aside by one of the other demo people who told me that the lady at that table was on lunch. She asked her while I was trying to find out what was up with the promo about the samples they had and the tickets and the lady working the station said she was only given 10 tickets which were gone in the first 5 minutes and she left the table after that point and just left coupons out. WHA-WHA-WHAT??? 10 tickets for an event that was supposed to go for 4 hours in CA??? NO WAY! I can't believe it. That's just DOWN RIGHT DISGUSTING! SERIOUSLY. I'm not sure who screwed this thing up so badly... but someone needs to SERIOUSLY INVESTIGATE this HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EVENT. I've been a LOYAL 7th Generation fan for years. I'm talking Dishwashing Liquid, Detergent, Household Cleaners, Diapers& and Wipes and entries into sweepstakes and so forth. This is REALLY REALLY DISAPPOINTING. My son's birthday is tomorrow. He was so excited to get to get these tickets so we could go see the movie. Yes, I will still take him despite not getting free tickets (eventually... we are a little burnt out on Lorax right now)... but seriously... this was a BIG HUGE PROBLEM. You may want to seriously consider who you do business with. And.. you might want to check out your marketing agency. It's performance was less than stellar. Signed... One really disappointed mom of 3.

Hello, I do the events at Wal-Mart. We were told Sunday, 3/11/2012 is the preffered date for the Lorax Event. Look on line, to your local Wal-Mart in store samples, event finder to determine what date for your local Wal-Mart store. This event is set for 3/11/2012 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, for my local Wal-Mart. I hope this helps everyone! Seventh Generation are great products for the earth.

My children took the grandchildren for the Lorax event at our local WalMart which was listed (1869 Plaza Drive, Allegany NY) and found nothing was happening. From all the other reports, I'm wondering if this was just a Hoax. I'm very disappointed in 7th Generation over this.

Even though I read these comments & even called my store to be told the same thing, there is no event, I headed over to my store anyway. I'm sure glad I did. Yes, when I got there I was still told there was no such event & that it was a hoax & they were sorry for the inconvenience. I stuck around the store to get a couple items I needed. One of those items happened to take me right passed where 7th gen was setting up. I got my samples, coupons and my free tickets. Thank you 7th Generation. The problem with this event is that it's being done by 7th Gen, NOT Walmart. 7th Gen is a vendor setting up in the store to give away these things to promote their products. So when you call Walmart asking about the event they aren't going to know about it because it's not an actual event. It's a vendor, w/ a stand, giving away coupons, samples and free movies passes to the lucky ones that went to the store anyway instead of just trashing 7th Gen for teaming with Walmart for an event. They didn't "team" with Walmart. Walmart is a store that sells their products and so therefore some locations had a rep from 7th Gen there to give these things away. I'm glad I didn't just whine and complain and took matters into my own hands. Because of my ability to act and think for myself my children will get to enjoy The Lorax on 7th Gen. Again, thank you 7th Gen.

Drove 40 minutes from Harrisonville to Blue Springs only to be looked at in confusion when I asked anyone about the Lorax event. After asking 8 different floor employees in as many departments, I went to the service desk who called the manager on duty, that knew nothing about it. I hope that 7th Generation learns from this experience and organizes their next event better.

After calling, being transferred several times, on hold forever, hung up called again and asked for manager--was given the bakery manager (!!!???) to finally be told Lexington location knows absolutely nothing about this event either...thanks for the brilliant organizational skills SevGen! glad I didn't get the kids all excited to go just to be disappointed.

Very unhappy with the Cedar Falls IA Wal-Mart with this event. They are listed as a participating store for The Lorax event on both Seventh Generation's blog and on their store facebook page. When I inquired about the event they were rude and unhelpful. Very discouraging that they drag parents in to their stores with their children claiming to have an event and then treat you poorly offering only an oh well.

The first time we went to Wal-Mart, no one knew about the event. We came home and after reading some more information we found out the event starts at 11am. So, my husband took my daughter back to Wal-Mart for samples, coupons and the so called free movie ticket. They will only give you a movie ticket if you buy a bottle of their product. It doesn't say a movie ticket with purchase--the information clearly states a free movie ticket while supplies last. Needless to say my husband and I are very annoyed with Wal-Mart and Seventh Generation for this so called event.

To find the event at your local Walmart, go to your local Walmart's Facebook page. They are announcing the event there, on their wall. Search Facebook for the Walmart in your town - e.g. Walmart Phoenix, Walmart Waterford, etc. - and the event should be posted. Hurry - it starts at 11 (your local time), runs until 4.

I called both Walmart stores in NJ on the list (Vineland and Turnersville) and spoke to both the electronics department and a store manager at each location and neither store knew anything about such a promotion. I am glad I didn't drive the 40 minutes to either store - it'd be more money in gas then a child's movie voucher is worth anyway.

This is for the kids....and I buy the seventh gen products from Walmart partly because its close...next because everyone thinks that Walmart is SOOOO corrupt yet Target is ok. Sadly mistaken people I have worked for target as a Store Manager, they are more crooked than Wally world ever will be, and they don't DONATE....they make stores like Goodwill...BUY the products they claim to DONATE. They don't do anything for the community the way walmart does. Get off your high horses and let the politics go, unless you work for walmart you shouldn't have a problem with their issues....they are ALL employee centric issues....NOT public issues. Its the LORAX via Seventy Generation. Not Lets try to make Walmart give 40 hours a week to the employees that they only give 38 hours to a week purposely to make them not eligible for health care benefits Come on.....do your kids know what Walmarts employee issues are??? Do they care??? NO...they love the Lorax...YES....so take them and get over it do something for your kids people

I'm going to have to third the Walmart question....really??? I don't think your public is at Walmart at all. Did anyone in your company survey this? Seventh Generation doesn't even sell in Walmart! Walmart is the last place I would think of when I think if anything natural or green or good for the environment or people! Target? YES ....... Walmart? A big N-O! I'm an avid user and word of mouth promoter of all things Seventh Gen., but you guys completely lost me on this one.

Yeah, not too excited about Walmart. Not quite getting that choice. And, there is not one single event in Washington, and only one in Oregon and Idaho, but 11 in Wisconsin.

Not sure how partnering with Walmart, or giving away disposable Lorax mustaches in any way honors the Lorax. Dr Seuss must be doing cartwheels in his grave! So much for thinking 7th Generation was different than other companies...
