It's been two weeks now that I've been part of the Seventh Generation community, and I think we're off to a great start together.

The last day was another great day of carbon shred. We have collected close to 4000 pledges--among them, a tree on stilts! I even gave him a hug which made me a true tree-hugger. We did some kicking work and planted lots of mental seeds to grow until same time next year...
Lydia from kilowattours.org gave us major props at the end of the day - we were feeling the love. Love you back kilowattours. You are doing amazing work keep rocking it.

From the field:
We're shredding hard. Grace Potter, our Vermont local, is playing on the solar stage next to our booth and drawing a great crowd. We love to shred to the sounds of Gracie.

Wow, over 2000 pledges to reduce carbon so far and two more days to go. We washed some more laundry in cold water this morning and are brewing solar coffee to get more peeps into our booth. This morning we had some great conversation with folks who want to take the carbon shred to their own communities. Yeah!!
Life is good down here and peeps are getting it and genuinely want to do more and impact less.
Love and good vibes,
Shredolution crew

Summer's here and the time is right for...rot. We're talking composting here, and there are two things to note: First, if we follow nature's daisy chain, we realize that our summer diets of fresh fruits and vegetables remove nutrients from our soil that we can easily put back. Second, if your kitchen is anything like mine, your production of food scraps goes way, way up in the summer!

Growth consultant Lisa Nirell has a new book coming out called Energize Growth Now. It’s a guide to growing a company that shows how to make it better for everyone as it gets bigger. This is a topic that Seventh Generation knows a lot about, and the book draws on conversations Nirell had with our own Jeffrey Hollender about the subject.

They are off to Bonnaroo!!! A group of 7th Geners and Green Mountain Coffee folks are off to turn on Festival folks to Carbon Shredding (the fine art of considering in your every deliberation the carbon impact of all your decisions)!

A good party depends on critical mass: Get enough people in the house early in the evening, and the rest will take care of itself. A solid start helps a party draw more and more guests in while encouraging the early-comers to remain. Fail to get critical mass, and your guests are home in time for the 11:00 news.
