How is Your Baby Green and Why?

The moment I found out I was pregnant I freaked out...and then knew I'd raise my little one green! Lucy Capri deserves the best, which to me means organic and toxic free products. Everything from her high chair to her baby food is organic and I hope for her to pass the trait on for future generations.

Does anyone else have green babies?! Well, obviously, because you are on this website.

All Organic Baby Products

I was so excited about being pregnant and of course wanted to very best for my baby so I chose organic foods for starters and then discovered that there were so many other ways to have a green baby. So, I went crazy with everything from his bedding, cleaning supplies, feeding supplies, clothing...ALL ORGANIC.

BabyGoesGreen.org has the largest variety of products that I have ever seen and somethings that I did not know even existed.

Mostly Green

We only give our little boy organic baby food/formula (Earth's Best) and make our own baby food with local produce from farmers markets. We use Seventh Generation diapers and household products religiously. We also cloth diaper when at home to save on the amount of disposables. We even save on baby wipes by using plain old baby soap and water when at home for diaper changes. Wipes are only used when we travel or for the sitter.

We are teaching our son early on what it means to conserve and appreciate the environment, as well as give him a fantastic early start on his nutrition.

Cloth Diapers

We cloth diaper, eat organic (not all of the time, but I'm trying to stock the pantry with more and more organic things, lol), green cleaners, breastfeed (pumped milk is in glass bottles). Our religion is a VERY earth friendly one, and by taking care of Gaia, She will take care of us.
