Green Sanitizing???

I brew my own beer regularly, and while I have green solutions for cleaning all my stainless steel, plastic, rubber, and glass equipment. However, I when fermenting, dealing with yeast, and the finished product everything has to be sanitized. This usually involves harsh chemicals like bleach for all my glass and possibly a caustic sanitizer for my stainless. I do have a product called Iodifor, that is iodine based, but I have no idea how green iodine really is or what impact it has. Now Iodifor becomes fairly neutral after time, so I think I'm ok there. But I really don't like using bleach. Any suggestions?

Vinegar

Got this right from the Heinz Vinegar website:

Heinz guarantees it's Distilled White and Apple Cider Vinegars are all natural, only made from corn or apples and crystal clear water.

@ Not all white vinegars are created equal.

what do you look for on the label that will confirm that it's not ethanol? sorry if this is a silly question...

Not all white vinegars are created equal.

I recently learned from a local vineyard which also makes vinegar that some (most?) of the white vinegars on the market, including some that are labeled "organic," are actually made from ethanol. Why? Because it's cheaper than the old-fashioned kind. The moral: we gotta read the labels on everything.

Sanitizer

Research white vinegar- I think you'll be in for a nice surprise.

Note: After some flooding I saved $3,000 using white vinegar instead of harsh chemicals to kill mold. Biggest drawback- the place smelled like an antipasto for a few days.
