You should not use fabric softener with cloth diapers, or anything that you want to be absorbent. The softener leaves a very thin coating on the fabric, making it feel so soft and nice, but the cloth is not able to pull in water (or anything else). That is why our grandmothers and great-grandmothers told us not to use fabric softener on towels.

Yes
The ingredients in the Fabric Softener are not toxic and are safe for use on baby's clothes.
Some issues to remember:
· whole essential oils may be irritating to a baby's sensitive skin
· all fabric softeners leave a residue on clothing that may reduce the effectiveness of flame retardants also used on that clothing
We do make a Free & Clear Fabric Softener that does not have essential oils added for scent.
