I have an idea for doing a lot of good green work, but it would take a lot of people and a lot of capital that I don't have. I'm suggesting this to every group I can get the word out to so that we may sometime actually organize this.
We need more sidewalks, all over. Having nice sidewalks would encourage more people to walk, cutting down on gas emissions, and helping people exercise. I also think it would give people a better feeling of community.
I live on the outskirts of Cincinnati. Downtown Cincinnati/Clifton feel like a very different area than the surrounding suburbs, for those who are not familiar with the area. Among those suburbs, there's a shopping area called Eastgate that is actually a relatively small area, but for being a small community, no one knows one another. It's pretty sad.
Anyway, this is just an idea, but if anyone has thoughts on how to move forward with this - or even thoughts if it's a bad idea, please let me know
