Donations and Giving

Making a difference is important to all of us at Seventh Generation.

We truly believe that business is one of the most powerful instruments for meaningful change on our planet. We dedicate 10% of our profits to non-profit community, environmental, health, and responsible business organizations working for positive change.

Please take a moment to read our donation guidelines. If you meet these guidelines, we encourage you to apply for a donation of product or a cash contribution. Typical cash awards range from $500-$2500

  1. We reserve donations for non-profit organizations. You must have your 501(c)(3) IRS status.
  2. While we would love to support all charitable organizations, we have chosen to focus our resources in the following areas of advocacy. We request that you make sure you meet two or three of these criteria.
    1. Vermont-based community groups and organizations
    2. Global Cooling: We support stewardship, education, and regenerative solutions to the most pressing environmental issue of our time, global warming.
    3. Children’s Environmental Health & Wellness: We support programs that directly and positively influence environmental health issues that affect children and provide them with a better quality of life.
  3. We ask for a minimum of 4 weeks notice to be able to accommodate your request.
  4. Preference is shown for organizations filing their first request.

Applications may be submitted at any time during the year, but please be aware that we will not make multiple donations to any single organization in a calendar year. Special consideration will be given to Vermont-based community groups and organizations.
