Children's Allergies

With all of the chemicals in the home cleaners and detergents i cant help to think that my children's allergies could be prevented with green cleaning products. Can you give me some advice on how to make my home hypo allergic for my children. Its seems they are having allergy attacks everyday.

Make your own

There are lots of ways to make your own everything.... I make my own soap from real lye for my family, we have lots of allergies too. I also make my own cleaners using things like vinegar etc. Look online for recipes and alternatives to mainstream cleaners.

greatest book ever!!!!!!!

Hello. I have a book for you. My five year old suffers/ suffered with terrible allergies. I found this book called "Green up your Clean-up". The author is a "green" mom whose son had these same problems. Answers to everything. Go to Amazon and invest. I have shared this with many allergy sufferers. With or without children. Good Luck.

I'm really sorry your kids

I'm really sorry your kids are going through so much! How old are they? What we use on the carpets and upholstery, the laundry, cleaning the dishes and surfaces, and spraying or scenting the air can all effect them. The furnace filter and allergen control covers on mattresses and pillows can be another front to work on. Food allergies are common reasons for reactions in the very young, but if they are older, it might be the environmental chemicals that you can control. For shampoo and soap on the body, it might take some experimenting, but there is some stuff from the natural food store category that is lower in fragrance and additives. I hope you find some answers!
