I am planning on going very green but am doing it in stages. I have heard that you have to build antibodies to be less susceptible to various elements in the environment. If I were to raise a baby with all organic items would it mean that if they did come in contact with some of the chemicals that they had abstained from all of their primary years they would have reactions to them? I just want my whole family to have a healthy future with as little allergies and diseases as possible...

"Naturally Clean" also
"Naturally Clean" also contains an entire section devoted to cleaning and kids.
Those are excellent
Those are excellent questions, I think - and a really great resource for all the answers and more is "Naturally Clean: The Seventh Generation Guide to Safe & Healthy, Non-toxic Cleaning" by Jeff Hollander, Seventh Generation's founder. I kid you not, this was the best book I've read in a long time. And it discusses in detail in separate chapters how to clean each part of your home, how to keep the indoor air clean, and many many other topics.
It has a very thorough discussion in the earlier chapters regarding traditional cleaning products and the new green cleaning products and asks and answers all the typical questions that one might have regarding switching to green products. At the end of the book a glossary lists all the cleaning products that the authors believe are green and safe - and not just Seventh Generation products.
I found the book at Barnes & Noble without having to purchase it online.
