Are Seventh Generation diapers biodegradable? Why all the fuss about the chlorine free? Is it just that it's less harmful to baby or is it also better for the planet? If so, how?

I asked the science guy too! If they are, how do you get around putting them in a plastic bag, that ends up in the landfill and prevents the biodegrading process for a loonnnng time??
