I live in the country and have a large cricket problem, they are all over the place. Anyone have any good ways for getting rid of the crickets without using bad chemicals (not that there are any good ones)? I plan to get chickens and a turkey or two in the future and they should help the situation but until then I need a better option. Thanks

crickets be gone!
I had crickets and so I got bird feeders....the birds may not be the type to eat the crickets but they definitely were gone gone gone....the year I didn't get the birdfeeders out and filled I noticed those little suckers came back in force....I got it out and filled it and once again they were gone. I swear!
Cave Crickets
We've had the problem for years.
At first, I had them sprayed by a pest remediation company, but didn't like the solution they used.
Then, I tried those sticky traps -- they worked well, but were a disgusting chore on a regular basis.
My most recent treatment has been by a company that used Eco PCO WPX - thyme oil 5.0% EPA # 67425-25 which, the applier said, was more environmentally friendly. It has a short, one season guarantee (compared to the bad stuff), is more expensive too, but I've had good results with it.
Good luck!

I wish we had this problem!
I'm spending $6 a week on crickets at Petco lol. Get a few pet geckos!
ack!
leaving the light on is an easy solution! And you won't have to clean up trays and trays of sticky traps full of crickets. ewww.
crickets in crawl space
We have had a problem with camel back crickets in our crawl space every year of the 17 we have been in our house. We found that just leaving the light on under the house causes them to leave and not come back until the next season, at which time we turn the light on again.
