Chlorine free wood pulp*, mixture of plant-derived polysaccharide* and sodium polyacrylate (absorbent pad), polylactide* (dryness layer), polypropylene and polyethylene (seams and joints), polymer spandex and polyurethane (tummy band and leg/waist elastic), inks (designs).
*In addition to wood pulp, our absorbent core also contains corn- and wheat-derived materials to reduce the use of non-renewable petrochemicals.
The color of training pants is typically achieved through the addition of color pigments to their inner and outer cover materials. This is also true for Seventh Generation training pants. While most designs on the market use pigments that result in a white color, we use a combination of pigments that result in a light brown color. Without the addition of color pigments, these materials would be colorless, much like a plastic milk jug. We use brown pigments to help distinguish Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Training Pants from others in the marketplace that are bleached with chlorine-containing substances.
All disposable training pants, including Seventh Generation’s, rely on man-made materials to deliver the high-level performance that parents expect of modern training pants. These materials are mostly petroleum-derived and are not renewable, which adversely impacts the environmental footprint associated with these products. At Seventh Generation, we are pleased to offer an alternative that is not bleached with chlorine, and are working hard to further improve the sustainability of our diaper products.

Wish these came smaller (an 18mo size -- 15-25lbs). My daughter is a skinny 21lbs, who wears 12mo pants. These training pants fall off her butt!!
Unfortunately, it seems that even though the smallest size is for my son's weight, it does not fit snug around his legs. He's about to be 3 years old, but only weighs 25 lbs at 34". I almost wish they came with velcro tabs like the diapers, but understand that would defeat the purpose of "training pants".
I just love these & my baby NEVER gets rashes from them or irritated skin. Plus they do better than well (if you have a boy, make sure the Firehose is pointing down) all through night, very active days, and I've never had a leak issue (aside from when his firehouse wasn't pointed down lol because "I can put them on myself mommy!" was a major thing that day). Plus less chemicals near him make us all healthier. Buy them, they are worth the extra $1
The design is different and the inner elastic part leans towards the center and catches in between the butt cheeks, making leakage more likely (stuff spills out of the catch area). (Sorry to be blunt.) But this is simply not an improvement. The training pants elastic design was great before, though I am still hoping for an overnight training pants version as well will come out soon. But the old elastic design needs to come back!
I gave it two stars because the sizing and material are both great, but leaking is not a minor issue with training pants.
Please add velcro sides to this product. As a former preschool teacher and the mother of a toddler, it is much easier to remove soiled training pants this way, rather than having to remove shoes and socks in order to get the traning pants off.
