Material Safety Data Sheets
This natural dishwasher detergent gel has been formulated to work in all dishwashers, please follow the instructions to get the best dishwashing detergent experience.
LOAD DISHWASHER- Make sure items can be safely washed in a dishwasher. Silver, aluminum and stainless steel should be washed in separate loads to avoid discoloration. Load items with soiled surfaces facing the center of the bottom rack, for optimum dishwashing experience. Filling your dishwasher and washing full loads of dishes conserves water.
ADD DISWASHER DETERGENT GEL- Fill dishwasher dispenser cup 1/2- 2/3 full. Use less dishwasher detergent gel for soft water/smaller loads. For very hard water we recommend using Seventh Generation Rinse Aid.
For very hard water we recommend using our Rinse Aid.
Please recycle automatic dishwasher gel bottle when it is empty

I came on here to read the other reviews, as I have recently become disatisfied with how there is still residue left on my dishes. I used to think it was just my husband/son letting the dishes sit too long in the sink before they were then placed in the dishwasher to be washed. I have fervently gone a whole week chasing after my family's meals for them to rinse their dishes well before placing them in the sink.
Long ago, I was told by a friend to run bleach in the second compartment to sanitise the dishes. I hav done this for many other non-eco products and it has worked fine. I have only had one dish cycle where this has worked (using the 7th gen bleach).
I share all of the complaints that I have read here, as well as the sentiments twards the other 7th gen products. I love them dearly, but unless I can get a handle on the dishwasher solution, I will not be buying my automatic dishliquid from 7th gen. It is a waste of money, time, and resources (water, electricity, product).
I love Seventh Generation. I have switched to them for all my cleaning products. Despite the negative reviews, I have never had a problem with it and I love the lemon scent. I do pre-rinse my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher (somewhat excessively according to my boyfriend), but with one normal wash cycle they come out clean with no leftover food residue. I have also never had a problem with mildew in my dishwasher, but I do sprinkle baking soda in with my wash cycle occasionally.
I have tried many different eco friendly products with much success. All the 7th generation products I try, I love them but not this one. We have soft water, I rinse all my dishes before I fill the diswasher and still have rings around coffee cups, rings around pots and pans where small food particles are left behind. I will not be buying this product again. I will go back to another eco friendly product I have used in the past. The dishes NEVER come out clean no matter what I do.
I have switched to all natural cleaners in my house except dishwasher detergent. I tried numerous brands including 7th Gen. and they don't get the dishes clean plus mildew grows all through my dishwasher. I tried using vinegar as a rinse agent and that didn't help the dishes or the mildew. So I am back to Palmolive Eco+ until someone changes their formula to something that works better....
Maybe it's the water in Philadelphia, but this stuff just doesn't work. I ran the dishwasher and had to rewash everything by hand because my dishes and utensils were still dirty! HOW is washing twice eco-friendly?! I went back to Cascade. And I can't return the 7th Gen because I no longer have my receipt.
7th Gen, I love your laundry detergent, but you need to reformulate your dishwashing detergent!
