Material Safety Data Sheets

Usage:

This natural dishwasher detergent has been formulated to work with your automatic dishwasher. Please follow instructions to get the most effective dishwashing experience.

LOAD DISHWASHER- Make sure items can be safely washed in a dishwasher.  Silver, aluminum and stainless steel should be washed in separate loads to avoid discoloration.  Load items with soiled surfaces facing the center of the bottom rack for optimum dishwashing.

ADD DISHWASHER DETERGENT- Fill both pre-wash and main wash cups completely with the dishwashing powder.  Use less dishwasher detergent for soft water/smaller loads.
Re-seal package after use and store in a dry place out of reach of children.  For very hard water we recommend using Seventh Generation Rinse Aid.

My absolute favorite brand of dishwashing powder.

Good product - Lousy packaging!
My daughter recommended this powder and has used it happily for years. It works, but you have to experiment with what amount is right for your dishwasher and water quality: too much powder is almost worse than not enough. My only gripe is that the box is now coated with some sort of plastic, which makes it not recyclable. For a company that claims to be so 'green' that seems to be an irresponsible move. I see no functional necessity for the plastic coating - the boxes were fine before. I will be looking for alternative products that are packaged in recycled cardboard.

I've had good luck with the powder version of the Unscented dishwasher detergent, not so with the prepackaged packets of detergent in the small pillows. The individual packets have WAY too much product in them for my high-efficiency Asko dishwasher bought many years ago.

And for anyone experiencing cloudy or hazy film on their dishes & glassware, w/no change in water quality or hardness, it's probably because you're using way too much detergent per dish load. Using a rinse aid does help somewhat, but not even rinse aid can compete with using too much detergent.

I do not always use rinse aid, but I've only had problems with the results of my automatic dishwasher when I use too much or too little amounts of detergent. That's why I abandoned the packet style packaging & have had difficulty locating the unscented powder version of the dishwasher detergent.

And by the way, even with the 15% "sale" here applied, it's still more expensive on this website than the price at the usually-overpriced brick-and-mortar Target store at their $5.99 full retail price for the 75 oz box.

I am very unhappy with this product. Did the formulation get changed? What used to work now leaves a nasty soapy film on all my dishes. I have to run the cycle a second time to rinse off all the soap residue. I read the other comments and reviews and it seems that this is a common problem. I will be looking for a different brand. Bummer!Bring back the old product!

I've been using it for about two months now and I'm not impressed. There seems to always be a residue on dishes and the residue on my pyrex measuring cup was sooooo cloudy I had to buy a new one. The residue doesn't come off no matter how hard you scrub or soak it, it doesn't come off! Wish I wouldn't have tried it in the first place.
